the finished product turned out well. the joins were all nice and flush and it sits even along the floor. the construction went semi-well although not always to plan. because of the wood drying i had to deal with cracks in some of the joins. also because of the machinery and size of my table i had to make do with other adaptions like the rails for the buttons or dowel joints. to make sure i didn't use any more materials than what i needed i practiced and did tests on scrap pieces of wood like off cuts or mistakes from other people. overall i think the table turned out very well and has a nice straight edge finish. the staining gives it a more soft, homely feel and will fit nicely in the hallway that it is going to be located in.
